Your 2026 Military Paycheck
One number, not three. Enter your paygrade, years of service, duty ZIP, and dependents to total your 2026 base pay plus tax-free BAH and BAS - the real monthly figure your budget, lease, and car note get measured against. Official DFAS and DoD DTMO rates, no sign-up.
How your paycheck adds up
Three pieces stack into the check that hits your bank account. Base pay is the taxable foundation set by the 2026 DoD pay table for your rank and years of service. On top of that, the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) is set by your duty ZIP, paygrade, and whether you have dependents, and the Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) is a flat monthly food allowance. BAH and BAS are both tax-free, so they go further than the same dollars of base pay.
This total is gross of base pay plus those two allowances, before federal and state income tax, SGLI, and any TSP contribution come out, and before any special or incentive pays get added in. To see each piece on its own, open the base pay, BAH, and BAS calculators.
